Food Fight at Verru
Yesterday i was back to the amazing Verru restaurant in London's Marylebone Lane! Except this time for some slightly different 'profile shots' of the owner, 'Andrei' and his merry band of men!
Andrei said he didn't want to have boring, serious portraits, so wanted to try something a tad 'different'.... at the mere mention of a food fight, the boys seemed ready for it... as you can see.... this is all in jest and their obvious great relationship is plain to see!! As i've already said.... the food here is amazing and so are the people.... get down there!!
Sneak Peek - Music Promo Photography with Tankus The Henge
Today I met up with my crazy friends - Tankus The Henge! I've known and been photographing these lovable lads for the last 4 years now and there has never been a dull moment. With the arrival of their new Drummer, their manager thought it about time we got some new promo shots done... so we headed to the wonderful floating Dutch Barge that is 'Tamesis Dock' on the London Southbank of the Thames... Apart from being a great location, Neema the lovely lady who runs this ship (literally) provides some lovely food and drinks....! get down there and check it out! its magical! :)
The Tankus boys were in fine form, even if it was an early start... and we soon got going with some cheeky antics....
These are just a couple of tasters from the shoot. Hope you like them, and if you fancy coming along to listen to these chaps.... have a look at their facebook page here and come along!! I challenge you to not be able to love them!! ;)

Iphoneography
As most of you who look at my blog will know, photography has always been firstly my passion and secondly my job. I count myself very fortunate to be paid to do something which gives me such pleasure - no matter what the subject. Photography takes me on a different journey each time I pick up my beloved Nikon D3 and D700. Whilst I'm out on my jobs I often come into contact with other enthusiastic photographers who often dismiss their abilities based upon having a cheaper camera!? To this I always laugh... as a picture is not just about it's technical brilliance... It's about the subject and the moment! The energy and the feeling. What might be nothing to someone else can mean the world to you in a picture, and Vice Versa! A photograph does not have to be taken on a £5k super shooter to still make a person stop, look and ponder.
To that end, I lead onto my new love for my IPhone and the amazing 'Hipstamatic' and 'Instagram' apps. These fantastic little snapper enhancements are the perfect way to catch a moment whilst out and about.
So.. I thought I would share a few of my snaps from my Iphone with you, and hopefully inspire you all to do the same :-)
Enjoy!

Tall Ships ...
Myself and the Harvey Juniors were up at Nanna Harvey's over the Summer Holiday in Thirsk, N. Yorks. I love it up there, totally diferent vibe to London, people actually smile and say hello up there! :-) Whilst visiting, my good old ma told us about the 'Tall Ships' setting sail from Middlesborough and Teeside, so off me and the Juniors went in serch of some big old ships!
I have never driven through such torrential rain as we did on the way... kids faces were long and i knew i could be in for an afternoon of self harm!
The ships, well, they may have been tall, but were nowhere near our bit of the coastline, so i took to catching a few snaps of the Juniors instead ... Happydays! :-)
Canal side Capers with my new Lumix
Well, its been a while since i posted anything here, simply because i have been too busy! :-)
So excuse the dates all being off from the actual events, but thought it best to get it all done and up, out the way before its the end of the year! wow, this year has flown!!!!!
Anyway, this little update involves my new Panasonic Lumix snapper i wanted to test out!
I'm only 10 mins from the canal side, so took advantage of the weather and got on my bike for a 26 mile ride from Enfield to Hoddesden and took a few snaps on the way with the Lumix. My main reason for wanting this camera was for casual days out like this where i wanted to get some good 'snaps' but them still be crisp and of good quality... The Lumix has a Leica lens so i was interested to see how it compared ... in all honesty i think its only 'ok'. Thats more down to 'noisy' sensor than the lens quality .... its fine in bright weather but anything 800 iso above gets reeeeeeally fuzzy!
Still, its only a snapper, but at £350 i was actually expecting more...
