Last night I was invited to cover the launch party for LOTD (Look Of The Day) at the ME Hotel in London. It was a star studded affair organised by Bold and Beautiful Events. Paps and Celebrities in abundance ... I even got to have a chat with Marcel from Love island #littlethings :)

I had the pleasure of photographing the arrival of Silverseas' - 'Silver Wind' yesterday as she made a stop off on the London Southbank. Silver Wind was dropping off passengers and staying in London overnight before heading off again this morning. There is still something magical about photographing Cruise Liners, especially when they are sailing through Tower Bridge and docked alongside HMS Belfast. Silversea were showing some lucky travel agents around, ending off with a wonderful lunch.... which happily I also got to enjoy!! :)

So, last night my good pal (Steve Dunlop Photography) and I covered The Catey Awards 2017 - Awards, at Grosvenor House Hotel on Park Lane, London.
The Cateys gives chance to recognise the individuals, teams, and businesses shaping the hospitality industry at a spectacular awards ceremony at Grosvenor House, London.
Since their inception in 1984, The Cateys have cast a spotlight on the industry’s highest flyers, strongest performers, and hottest brands. Over more than a quarter of a century, they have become a byword for quality, class, and achievement; the awards that everybody wants to win. No wonder then that the industry refers to them as its Oscars Night.
It was a great night! Having done a lot of Food photography myself, it was great to rub shoulders with some of Cuisines finest masters of the trade. Celeb Chefs galore!
Street Photography... and why I love it!
I shoot an Annual Report most years for Shaftesbury Group PLC. Shaftesbury own a huge property portfolio around London's West End. I shoot the areas they own, under a different theme each year. It can be challenging to shoot the same streets for 8 years and still find something new, but I do LOVE street Photography, so its never too much a chore!
One of the areas I have to cover is London's China Town. Always buzzing, colourful and with many vibrant characters. From locals to tourists, there is always something going on .... This day was no exception, as I came across a huge impromptu street party in Gerrard street?
It was the Hare Krishna's! I've seen them many times on the London Streets, and it never fails to make me smile. The thing I love about them is ... they just really do know how to PARTY!
Their energy is contagious and it never takes long for some crowd participation .... this time the whole of Gerrard street were going for it!... so into the mix I go, hauling my bloody heavy camera often above my head to try to show the sea of faces. These moments really are just a photographers dream. This is also what makes London great. Many cultures, religions and races.... all side by side having a great time! If only life were not like this in all aspects.... we can all live in hope!
